Sony HD
High quality video images are essential for detailed and accurate recognition of surveillance subjects.
To meet these demands, Sony have developed a range of High Definition CCTV solutions, which now includes integrated infra-red technology. These cameras deliver superior image quality which is not available from standard definition cameras.
What are the benefits of HD for you?
Making the move to HD CCTV provides significant benefits. HD technology gives you a 'real time' capture and delivers highly detailed images from a wide field of view. You also benefit from highly accurate object detection and recognition. The recording and display allow for forensic levels of image analysis not currently found in existing technology.
HD CCTV solutions from Sony combine the benefits of digital technology with the ease of analogue use to provide the optimum in video security systems performance.
The SNC-DH180 camera is an infra-red model which enables you to capture quality images, even in total darkness, with its built-in IR illuminator.
How do the new cameras work?
HD CCTV is built on technology that is used for high quality broadcast television applications. Video is captured using specialist HD CMOS sensors. These sensors contain a pixel array which is far greater that is found in standard definition CCTV sensors, which results in a far superior image quality and a greatly enhanced field of view.
The CMOS sensors also utilise a progressive scan system which elimates the image flicker and blurring that can sometimes occur with interlace scanning systems normally found in standard definition CCTV technology.
The resulting images can be transmitted via a suitable network in a variety of data formats.
