Combining your existing analogue cameras with IP cameras...

Analogue systems are now being phased out by digital systems due to the advances in technology. When compared to the new systems, analogue seems inadequate.

However, we understand that after the investment that businesses have made in their current systems, many may be reluctant to have the expense of a brand new system. PCM can give you the option of a hybrid system to ensure a smooth transition from your analogue system to the latest IP systems.

Other manufacturers supply NVR's (Network Video Recorders) with both coax connections for the analogue cameras and a network connection for the IP cameras. Hybrid software runs on the NVR to combine the two.

It's hardly surprising that the majority of businesses have yet to go digital  with their security systems when you consider the current economic situation. All businesses are looking to minimise their costs, and a hybrid system can give you some of the advantages of an IP system whilst still utilising some of your legacy cameras.

Benefits of a Hybrid system:

- Uses existing analogue infrastructure

- Readily available

- Multi user access

- Low cost remote transmission

- No need to dispose of technology that you already have in place

- Digital recording and playback via your analogue system
