Axis provide an impressive and extensive range of network cameras. Unlike most of the major players such as Sony, Panasonic, and JVC, who already have an extensive range of analogue cameras and are now developing IP network cameras, Axis have pioneered the network camera.

Their latest cameras now employ features such as H.264 compression technology to reduce storage costs, and Power over Ethernet to reduce installation costs. This, coupled with excellent customer support, has made Axis the global market leader for IP network cameras.

All of the cameras have integrated web servers and can be viewed over a local network or over the internet, thus allowing remote connection from anywhere at any time. Some of the models incorporate wireless connectivity to provide rapid deployment or flexible positioning for the camera. It is also useful in areas where data cable installation presents a challenge.

Megapixel resolution is now being introduced to all of the cameras to provide greater detail in the recorded image, and many of the cameras now have integrated audio with detection alarm, and also alarm input and output for connection to external devices. The camera can record when the system detects a door opening, a loud sound from forced entry or even a light being switched on.
